Looking for some answers from the driveshafts GM 3rd gen specialists here. I have an '87 Iroc-Z with a 5 speed manual for a 305 ( aussie rear ). I also have a '91 Trans Am GTA with an auto for a 350. I would like to replace the steel driveshaft ONLY from my Iroc-Z with the aluminum driveshaft that is in my '91 GTA. Again, I am not replacing the trannies just the driveshafts. I would be thankfull if someone has an answer to this before I take the time, trouble, and maybe some of my money out of pocket to put the cars up on hoists and check / find out. Can I do a straight swap??

Its as simple as unbolting one and bolting in the other. As far as fit, they are the same.
