well my tranny is already dead and in the process of getting rebuilt. But i had a couple of things that the tranny did before it died. When i first bought the car the tranny shifted really harsh, i mean jolting neck snapping shifts. i replaced the quadrajet carb and put on an edelbrock 600cfm, the tranny seemed to shift "less" harsh after that(weird)...After putting some more miles on the car (about 1000) the tranny progressively got softer with shifts, until you can hardly notice it shifting (but shifted fine) One nite i was driving on the freeway and the front seal blew out. I guess i really puked all my fluid out and "burnt" up the clutches. Replaced the seal, and even though the car moves it slips really bad and sometimes wont leave 1st gear until about 4500 rpms+. What could have caused all of this misfortune? I know its not normal for a 700r4 to act like that
