manual torque converter switch
ok i finaly think i have my torque converter wired up to a manual switch now. problem is, it doesnt respond anything like described in the tech articles. at low rpm's (like 1000 rpm's) going about 60 km's down the road, if i punch it, it sounds really crapy for a while and starts to speed up. one time it almost sounded like it was gona stall, or back fire. i dont know what the guy in the tech article was smokeing but i deffinately cant see a race application use for this switch. i think the way the auto is geared its not meant to be locked up at low rpm's and it needs that "slip" to keep the engine's rpm's climbing. from a near stop i can barely get the car to accelerate at all with it locked up. i deffinately noticed alot more power on the highway after 120 km's, when i stepped on it i got alot of haul, with it not locked up i almost had to floor it to keep speeding up.
