t56 cover question

t56 cover question

im doing a t56 swap in place of a 700r4 and i need to know if there is an inspection plate on a t56 and/or i need one. i ordered a trans and stuff from a dude. but it included no cover for the clutch. do i need a cover plate or what.

can some help me please,

Hes talking about the inspection plate that bolts to the bottom of the bellhousing below the block. It's there to keep rocks and such from hitting the back of the flywheel and potentially tearing stuff up. I personally wouldn't do the swap without it (might as well do it right, eh?) but I've seen people running with no plate and no problems.
