i know this isnt third gen related but i need help, and please, mods dont lock this thread, it may be helpful to others witht he same tranny. or problem.

ok i just got my truck running today, i pop it in reverse to back it out of my lot, it goes into reverse and then the engine dies, i pop it into neutral and then into drive after she starts right up and it does the same, its acting like it wasnt to go.

im thinking its the torque convertor, maybe its dead, ifnot then what else could it be, park and neutral both work with no problems, it used to be a 3sp manual truck and i want to go back to that, it still has everything i need, so if i cant fix this tranny ill go manual sooner then i thought.
