Im looking for a used T-56 out of a lt1 94-97 to put in my 89 iroc...

If possible i am looking for everything to make the transition i.e.(slave,pedals,flywheel,bellhousing,clutch,all bolts,ect)

I have seen serveral lately for sale, complete kits, price range from 800.00 to 2000.00

 

Ive been watching ebay for about a month and a half havent seen any t-56's fo through there that werent outragiously priced....

I found one at a swap meet for 650...we'll see in a few days how it works.

Performance Resource seems to me to be the best deal. 1500 and you get everything you need except a thirdgen crossmember and thirdgen pedals. If I hadn't found one at a swap meet, I probably would have gone to them.

Ebay is the absolute worst place to buy a T56...great place to sell one though!!

 

Im not sure if your refering to thirdgen resources.com or speed automotive.com but if you are that 1500 for what is ussally i high mileage trans and it never comes with everything already tried...

 

I was referring to Speed Automotive...it comes with everything that is needed to swap a 4th gen to manual. If you are looking fora place that gives you everything you need for a thirdgen in one box...Good Luck. There are posts on this board that tell what you need...just find them and put together your own kit. I'd say Performance Resource and then piece together the few other items you need. It may be a high mileage trans...but you never know.

 

ya ive already checked with them and i can dind more for less on here most of the time they dont even give you all they advertise for 1500 anyways. i already know what i need just have to get everything...
