4L60 is acting up
Drive back to Ohio was great, 22.7mpg on 87 octane and in this heat/thunderstorms I consider it excelent. Anyways, at about 520 miles into the drive I was on low speed highway splits and the tcc was engauging and disengauging like crazy. It was chattering and I have no idea why. Nothing has changed but this morning it was doing the same thing even on a cold engine start. It only does this every once in a blue moon but lately it's been every other time 4th gear and tcc engauged low speed cruising.
Another topic that I believe in unlinked is my 2-3 shift. It clunks more often than not. What is the fix for this and no it isn't my u-joints. The clunk makes me worry but it's been doing this for a LONG time now.
Tell me the trans is dead and I'll go get a T56

If your upshift light is turning on/off with the TCC lock/unlock it is probably a VSS problem. If no upshift light on/off then as stated above (TCC solenoid is a common/inexpensive problem).
2-3 clunk is typically caused by the 2/4 band releasing a tad late as the 3/4 clutchs apply.
RBob.
