this goes out to probuilt automatics. heres the prob: about a year ago while driving home from work i came to a light. on green the car shifted fine thru 1st then 2nd then nothing. just hi revving but no go. i panicked a little and put the car in 2 with a manual shift.[autotranny 700r4] the car drove a little better cause i could a little ways longer. this going to sound jacked up but i've been driving it this way since. stupid question, am i destoying it further driving it like this and is this a quick and inexspensive fix or just trash? not a lot cash on hand or would have taken care of it by now. how difficult would it be for me to diagnose and get fixed relatively cheap? don't want to get reamed by tranny shops. thanks
