trans problem any help?

ok so today i am driving around and something happens to my clutch pedal when i tryed to disingage the clutch i heared a pop the plead goes down but the clutch is still engaged now the pedal still comes up after its pressed but it dosen't seem to move the clutch what could it be and how much would something like this cost top get fixed? any help is greatly apreciated.

im no expert on this but could it be that the clutch fork isnt working properly? just my 2 cents...probably not even close though

Tell us more about your car (year, engine, etc.).

Does the pedal provide any resistance when you push it down now? I'd guess you lost either the cable or hydraulic cylinder (depending upon which type of clutch mechanism you have).

$40 per part to replace. Not that expensive. I used new ones when I did my tranny swap because the used ones i had didnt disengage the clutch.

well its a 87 camaro with a 305 and a t5
the pedal still provides resistance but not as much as it did before
