don't worry, i'm not that dumb. but i do have a problem (if there's been a thread about this before, i could use a link). my stock 700R4 shifts 5 times (it feels like). it's the freakiest thing. i bought the car a year ago, and the guy told me he just had the tranny fluid and filter replaced. but it's always done this: when it's in overdrive it'll shift 1-2-3-OD-5....................it's insane. the RPMs decrease each time it does this, so it's like it's actually shifting. all the shifts are smooth, so i have no clue what's going on. i know it's not a 5 speed auto, but what is going on? should i expect my tranny to die soon?

 

my guess is probably the torque convertor locking up.
