Clunking sound when shifts

Im not sure if this is a bad tranny mount or not....its got a rough jerk when you put it from park to any gear....and when its in drive and you put it to the floor and it shifts into second it clunks...does anyone know what this could be??

two ways of checking your tranny mount. Jack it up and pry up on the tranny. 2nd Put it in reverse hold your foot on the brake and gas it quick then do the same thing in first. If the tranny mount is broke you will feel the tranny move around. but thats just my .02

sounds like a tranny mount thats what mine did so i looked under the car and the whole mount was just about gone

if its not the tranny mount it could be your rearend. mine was doing the same thing but when i put a newer rear end in it went away.

Maybe an engine mount is bad?

If you accelerate from a stand still and let off before it shifts, is there a clunk?

I had a clunk like you are describing, but my transmission mount and engine mount was bad. I rarely hurry so It was a while before I discovered it.
