Truck TH700R4

Hey, I just found a Th700, it comes with the torque conv,
'towing pack' , and shift kit.

Would it be a bad choice for the camaro ?

since gears r the same ..

The guy built it up for this snow plowing pick up.

Should be fine, except the TC maybe the opposite of what you'd want, there's no difference in a truck trans.

The tailshafts are different.Is it a 4WD trans?I thought the 4WD was different than the 2wd version?

I have a 700 from a van and all i had to do was change the tail shaft cover so the torque arm would bolt up.

The 4WD output shaft is the same; the extension housing is different.

But of course, any extension housing other than a Camaro/Firebird one won't work; you'll have to re-use your existing one on whatever trans you get, if you get a random used one from somewhere out of something besdies one of these cars.
