How much is a strange 9" rear for an f body worth? It has 33 spline axles from currie, 373 gears, and comes with a spare spool. The guy said it cost about 4k new. What do you guys think? It's in the car I am buying and I was just wondering if this guy was hyping it up or if it really cost that much. I know it has a posi unti in it now (not sure of make although the seller might know) and he said he will give me a spool with the car too. Thanks in advance.

 

The posi the axels, carrier, will all make the price go up. So will installing the brackets for a TQ arm and rear springs.

Even then, its still not 4k.

 

It has all that installed (tq arm etc etc) He told me it is a lot stranger than the moser 9 inch and moser 12 bolts. The car used to run 11.1 before he took the engine and tranny out so I know it can take some power.
