T-56 swap questions

I plan to do a t-56 swap within the next few months but first i have a few questions. In case i come across a t-56 out of a corvette, will that bolt right up just like an f-body t-56? I have a 2 peice rear main seal so what flywheel can i use besides getting an expensive aftermarket one? What gears would work well with that trans? Its mostly a daily driver but i still want it to come on strong. 3.73? 4.10? Also, since the car in an auto. now will i have to get a manual drive shaft? your help is very much appreeciated

well, I am in the middle of the swap right now and, the flywheel is going to be and aftermarket one! drilling the stock 1pc to a 2pc pattern leaves it very unsafe. there is some one here who did this but, it is not recomended. unless you want a creative way to cut you feet off.

the corvette one needs adapters and modifications to work. you would need an adapter plate for an ls1 trans as well (I have seen them out now and look pretty cool)

are you carbed? I would "Guess 3.73" gears for you assuming you have the normal mods like headers intake cam ect,. I have 3.45 gears and from what I gather it should work great for me because the 3.45s were too steep for my setup with the t-5

If you get the trans from a 93-97 f-body then you can use your stock driveshaft. you can use your stock torue arm too but, I decided to get the sophn arm and mount setup with both driveshaft loops (looks bad ***!)

I guess if you take the time and read through this very carfully this is a very helpful link... http://www.skulte.com/T56.html
