Car: 1982 t top,,z/28,
Engine: 409ci vortec
Transmission: all steel t700r4,1300 stall yahooooooooooo
model identify t700

how do i tell what year this used t700,, its a non computer model,,i hear the early ones are junk,, from 1983 up to ??? when??? were junk,,,,,,,i was told the later 80,s models like 1987,88 were better,, how do i tell the model of this one

Just above the pan rail on the passenger side of the transmission near the back will be a code. The first digit is the year, 2 is a 1992, 7 is a 1987, etc. Best years are 1988-1993 to start from.

Pro, do you mean these numbers?? Came off the Drivers side above the pan rail on this one.
