Grenaded the rear
Well i toasted the rear in my car, broke the gear inside the carrier. I ordered a Auburn posi unit to work with the Richmond gears i already have and 28 spline Moser axles, also ordered up a spacer to replace the crush sleeve, so the pinion doesn't walk up the ring gear. It should be good to handle about 400hp now.
Everything cost me about $550..not bad, lot better than $2000 for a 9" or 12 bolt.
I also pulled the rear completely out so i can weld up the axles tubes and i am gonna weld up a crossbar to the support cover to give it some more support. I'm and engineer by trade and spent many years as a welder, so it not a big deal, mine aswell do it while i got it out.
