Ungodly rattle sound

Recently when I put my car into reverse it makes this metal-on-metal rattling sound that disappears when I go into drive. However I've also noticed that when I come to a stop sign and the tranny downshifts it also makes that ungoldy clank sound. (it all makes the sound if I go over a brick road)

I had the car lifted and they told me that I have a broken mount on the bar that goes from the transmission to the rearend (keeps the body straight?), but they didn't know what it was or where to get it.

So im getting the part from the dealership cause AutoZone doesn'y have it. If anyone here knows what it's called please tell me cause the GM dealership here is famous for saying "You tranny is dead" from anything from an oil leak to a blown out headlight.

Yep, tq arm mount... get a poly one to replace it (or if in hurry put a OEM one in). and you should be good to go again.

I went to the dealership and they call it an "insulating plate". Apparently there are two but I dont know if I should replace the broken one or both.

hmm... Aftermarket ones are all one piece I believe *I'm running a rod end so I didn't upgrade from stock*

Here's a link to Jeg's tq arm bushing page.

The stock rubber gaskets are 2 piece, I would change both based on the logic that if one already broke the other will soon follow. But then the urathane pieces are much better so just get one of those.

It only an OEM part

Picked them up today from the dealership and since i'm in a rush i'm getting them put in by a tranny shop today.

$65, not too shabby.
