TH400 Swap HELP!!!
I currently have a th700r4 trans and it literally blew up last night behind my worked 350. I know i need a new crossmember and driveshaft for the swap (which currently my aluminum driveshaft and spohn torque arm are for sale!!) My question is i need some sort of an adaptor to mate the mechanical speedometer to the electrical one in my 92 RS. Anyone ever done this before or can pop up a link to get me where i wanna go? Thanks in advance.

WAIT wait wait...
Ill save you some money.... #1 torque arm is exactly the same except different crossmember....I had the same problem....I called spohn...He sent me a new crossmember with the torque arm mount....Then ALL I had to sell was my old Crossmember....so it saves money versus selling the whole torque arm and buying a new one....Made it much easier....I lost 20 bucks in the swap after seling my old crossmember..The ARM itself is the same for 700R4 and TH400...same for the mount at the rear....so it was a quick change that bolted right in...
#2 ADaptor.... GO to a website called JAGS that RUN ...Dont have the URL handy....BUT they have a little box that screws into the mechanical speedo and gives the correct speedo electric signal....COst was $79 ...actually here<www.jagsthatrun.com>
Hope this helps....

Also Street and Performance sells those as well...But most places are higher than JTR...
The main thing is to make sure your tranny builder gets the speedo gearing right for your rear... If thats correct then the install is a breeze... Basically screws on and plugs in... 1 - 2 - 3.
