Backup ligh switch replacement

Guys, I have an 88 IROC with the T5. My backup lights don't work. How hard is it to change the switch on the tranny? Will fluid leak out when I remove the switch? Any hints? Thanks!!!

Nothing came out of the T-5 when I replaced mine. It took me about 10 minutes to replace.

Just did one on a s10 t-5. No fluid leakage. Took 3 miniutes, because I didn't even have to jack it up!

Thanks guys. I was under there on Sunday doing an oil change, and I saw the switch, had my hand on it. I just wanted to know if I had to have a pan under to tranny to catch fluid when I pulled out the old switch. I pull the thing up on ramps, but it's still too damn low. Looks like the answer is no. Good, less mess.

Traviz, thanks for the offer, but it looks like it will take about 5 minutes once I get the car up on the ramps. The thing is easy to get to.
