What clutch
Guys,
Ive got my aftermarket T56 ready but now i just need a final bit of help.
As its aftermarket i know i have to buy a new cross member and shortened torque arm, have my prop shortened two inches but what i want to make sure of is that if i buy a bellhousing from a manual third gen,i can then use a McCloed or similar clutch and flywheel for a standard T5 gearboxed third gen.Can i also use and fit a standard clutch master cyl and slave cyl from the T5 manual 3rd gen??
Sorry to go on but i just need confirmation
Thanks

My understanding is that the whole purpose of the aftermarket T-56 is to retain the stock T-5 style bellhousing/clutch/hydros while providing T-56 strength and gearings. So yes, the T-5 parts should work.
Don't quote me on that though...I don't have experience with it as I used a GM T-56 out of a '95 TA.

With the aftermarket T-56, everything from the rear of the bellhousing front is std. T-5 equipment. The T-56 comes with an adapter plate to mate it up to the rear of the std. T-5 bellhousing, everything else forward stays the same.
