When I drive normally it shifts fine. Only at the drag strip at WOT it won't go from 2nd to 3rd unless I lift. It's costing me alot off my ET.
I have a B&M shift kit and my carb is an Edelbrock. I'm hoping it is my TV cable adjustment.

 

well how far do u stay into the gas? wot in my tranny (in drive) is shifting 2 to drive around 5,500, so it does shift but i am also losing a e.t

might need to be messing around with the governor in the tranny, once the tv cable is set right apparently thats not supposed to be touched and fooled around with to change shift points.

 

Don't feel bad! My TCI Streetfighter will not go to 3rd at WOT unless I back off the TV cable 1/8". I know that line pressure is critical but if I can't shift then over revving is worse! Hell if I back off the TV cable 1/8" I can get a 3rd to 4th gear shift at WOT, very cool! The way I see it is that TCI ramps up line pressure so high anyway that 1/8" slack in the TV cable is still more than stock pressure at WOT. Let me know if you solve your problem. I would like to know why my tranny will not shift to third at WOT with the TV properly adjusted.
