9 bolt series 2 gear set of 3.73, 3.91 or 4.10?
What gear ratio would you prefer for your series 2 9 bolt? This would be a gear set that would mount directly onto the existing series 2 carrier.
Options are
3.73
3.91
4.10
Thanks
Miles

3.73 is good for no OD (ie. TH350, TH400)
3.91 is prolly good for a 700R4
4.10 is good for a T56... i've heard of 4th gens with 4.56 gears and still have low highway revs.

Luckily, I already have a 3 series and I bought some 3.91's off a guy on here who never put his in.
I'm just waitin' on the support cover and that solid pinion spacer kit.
Although I have 3.91's, I think 3.73's and 4.10's would be the most marketable.

I have a 3:73 in my T/A, a built 700R4, and a built 355 with a wieand stealth intake, a CompCams 280H, 9.4to1 pistons etc. and I really like the 3:73, I am glad that I chose it over the 3:42 that I was looking at.

Any info on when/if these will be available? I would love some series 2 3.73's and don't want the series 3 carrier and new gear set price...

Not to much gear - not to little
Do you realize how many guys with a factory 9 bolt series 2 carrier would rather upgrade just the gear instead of the gear AND the carrier !!
You have to consider all the guys out there that got the highway 2.77's in thier IROC's and Trans Ams that would take advantage of a "real" series 2 gear. Don't worry about the guys swapping T56's into thier car - they are the exception in the market.
You want to make a gear that guys with "factory" set-ups will buy ! Since the factory usually put the 2.77 gear in the 700R4 equiped cars. Make a gear that will compliment those cars ! My opinion is the 3.73.
I'm sitting on a 2.77 9 bolt and had NO plans for it other than parts if needed...... If I can get a set of "real" gears for it I might just restore it !
