on ebay there is a retro fit t56 going for $1800

i think they are like 2,400 new.

ive been seeing stock stlye t56's going for about 1,200 bucks with all the goodies on ebay.

is the retro-fit worth the extra 600 bucks.

i suppose it is brand new, but i would need to have the adapter plate drilled for a straight up install... because i have a 4-speed, i suppose i could try to find an '83 manual bellhousing....but that would be a challenge.

that and im broke
and would rather spend 1,200

 

I only have $1350 in my 6spd swap. Total Just search around. And I suggest piecing it all together. I think it's cheaper that way, seems when people think they've got everything they can charge a whole lot more. Good luck man!

NOTE: I would personally go with the standard T56, cheaper and it's not hard to install at all. I don't know why anyone would spend a couple hundred more for a retrofit.

 

For starters it's new, and if you've got a T-5 it's a lot simpler of an install. It's a consideration for my T-5 RS down the road.
