torque converter questions

i need a converter for my car but im not sure if my car is a 30 spline.is it or not?

Car: 1985 Trans Am

87+ is all 30 spline, assuming you have the original tranny.

Engine: Self-built 350

Transmission: Pro-Built 700r4 w/2800 Vigilante

Axle/Gears: Eaton 3.73 w/Moser axles

Im pretty sure 84+ 700r4's are 30 spline

I have some conflicting shop manuals on that, some say they changed mid-year 84, some say 87. I just know 87 for sure, and his car is new than that.
