push in the button and pull back on the black cable, then take and slowly open your throttle wide open. You will hear a ratcheting sound as you do this. After you have opened the throttle wide open, release it and the tv cable is adjusted properly.

Some TV cables do NOT ratchet and must be adjusted manually. This is tricky becuase there has to be the right amount of tension on them.
The first TV cable I bought from NAPA did not adjust by ratcheting. I returned it and bought one from GM just so I could be sure it was setup right.
Do yourself a favor if you have a non-ratcheting TV cable. Go to your local GM dealer and get one from them. Its about $40, but well worth it.
