ok i just put a 4th gen rear in my car its posi 4.10 and rear shocks competition engineering drag shocks.no other mods.305 carburated 700r4.when im in drive or overdrive and i really get on it between 1st and 2nd in overdrive it clunks really bad in drive it also does it going int third.the rear was in my friends camaro with no clunk at all we switched all the stuff over any ideas?

 

It could possibly be the u-joint that connects the tranny to the driveshaft is going bad or needs lubrication.

 

when you put it into reverse and then back into drive does it also clunk?


it could just be the tranny mount.....

 

no not really just in gear but my car didnt do it before the rear swap
