anything new in the wonderful world of 9 bolts?

im starting to get really anxious about this. id hate to get a 10 bolt and downgrade in performance just so that i can get parts and i dont want to spend the money for a 12 bolt or ford 9".

anybody?

for bout 900bucks you can get everything you need to rebuild it with 3.73's... since you have a 6spd that might be a good bet. www.9bolt.com can help you there... i'm sure miles will chime in here soon with some info for ya

No, and I'm about to give up on that Aluminum Support Cover that Miles said he was going to make.
I should have bought a used bolt-in Moser 9"!!! I wouldn't have much more in it than I have in crummy 9bolt parts. With a 383, T56, and a 200-300 shot of n2o; a support cover probably won't save a 9 bolt anyways! Oh well, lessons learned.

Id say get one of the later 10 bolts from a yard with the 28 spline shafts and work with that. The parts are cheaper and more plentiful. Im kinda cursing myself for going with my 9-bolt now that my trans is toast. The 2.77's, 28 spline shafts, and low series carrier make running a decent set of gears an impossibility w/o dumping lots of cash, which also makes a t-56 swap an impossibility as well.
