MBA shift knob what size do you guys buy

Transmission: TH350 3500 stall
Axle/Gears: 12 bolt 3.73's
MBA shift **** what size do you guys buy
I am looking at buying a MBA shift **** for my trans am and they have 2 " and 2 1/4" and im not sure which size i should get.I am also getting a pro 5.0 to put it on and i think that just the ball without the tail might be a little to short but i am not sure let me know what you guys think.thanks

i have the smaller of the two (2") without a tail. i think the tails make it ugly. its on a hurst Billet plus shifter for my t56. here it is:
