ID #'s on torque converter

Does anyone know of a site that would actually list what car a converter came out of by it's #'s?? I was given a one that i was told either came out of a vette or a thunderbird. Or is there any other way to check?

unless it's brand new in the box i'd trash it. far as i know other than a parts catalog there's no way to look up the number
