Quick question for the pros! Probuilt?

I have my input assembly all together and I was looking at a forward clutch "stack up" in my ATSG manual and it shows the first (inner-most) friction riding against the steel waved plate. This didn't seem right so I installed a steel on top of the waved plate and then went friction-steel-friction, etc. Did I do the right thing or did I let my common sense get the better of me?

I just assumed that the waved plate would provide an uneven surface to ride against.

The early units used a waved steel then a clutch, late units (1987 & up) used a waved steel, flat steel, then a clutch. The waved steel is to help cushion engagement.
