transmission

Has anyone used a 700r4 from a corvette. I'm interested in one to use with a 400sbc in a 91rs. The overall length is 7/8 of an inch shorter than a 700r4 from a camaro, would this be a problem

The only external physical difference in the Vette 700R4 and a Camaro 700R4 is the tail stock which is held on by only four bolts.
