Hey guys I have a question about when you adjust the TV cable on a 86 FI 6cyl firebird. In the haynes manual it says when you adjust it that the cable will "rachet" through the part were the relese button is. mine doesnt make any noise and i dont feel anything "racheting" when i move the cable through it. Is it broken or what? 0h one more question on my trans am there square tube part were the cable goes through was barely showing, on the 6cyl the square tube thing was out like an inch and a half. Which is is supposed to be?

push the button in, then push back the exposed piece into the box, let off button, then go wide open throttle on the throttle body.
