Gear ratio advice
I am building a centrifugal carb supercharged 355 backed by a th350 with a 2300 stall and a transbrake. I have a ford 9" from strange but I want to change the gears I have. I plan on running nitto drags for regular driving and et streets when it comes time for the car to do battle. What do you guys recomend for a gear ratio on a set up like this? I am getting rid of my posi for a full spool so I figured I might as well do a gear swap that is going to fit this engine combo.

my friend has a th 350 and 3.73 gears and the rpms are high with the fairly low speed (i forget his mph-rpm)
okay if u dont mind burning some extra fuel, but if u do any highway driving u may want something lower, ie 3.42's...
if not, town/street/drag, i'd suggest 3.73's

no a th350 is a automatic, its consist of 2 gears and then a "d"
I remember it wasnt good, but i will ask him..
with a 700r4, the tables turn.. with that OD, i would suggest u go the distance and put 4.11's in

A blown application usually likes less gear than an NA car. 3.73s are about the limit. You may want to stay with 3.42s to keep from blowing the tires off the car at the line though.

Blowing the tires off the car is an expression meaning to lose traction at the line, or along the run. When the wheels start spinning.
Tires spinning on the rim are another issue entirely. The car won't seem to lose traction, because the wheels aren't spinning. The rims are just spinning faster than the tires are. You'll see guys draw marks across the tire and rim to see if this is happening. If it is they'll run rim screws. Way too radical for a street car.
No, I don't offer 3d gen stuff for sale. TKO Performance is a play on my initials. I considered starting a company using the name once, but decided against it. I may in the future. You never know what direction life's going to take you.
