Ok, my car now has a bent axel, So I pulled the rear out my parts car, Planning to swap the whole rear, I got it out today and popped off the diff cover and found the numbers, The last number is 13:40, Does this mean its a 3.07 rear? So if it is a 3.07 rear would the axels from an 85 Z-28 swap into what I suppose is an 82' rear? I know the changed splines, just not sure of the year, Thanks!

 

Yep 3,07 gears. IF you turn the dif just right you should be able to stick you fingers in and count the splines on both axels.
