Kickdown bracket ???s

OK well i am about to install a new holley 600 4160 on my camaro and didnt remember how i took it off....how do u install it correctly?? also should i reset it? and how do i do that?? please help me with this im a newb

If you're using the same bracket, mounted the same way, and the same cable, you may not need to reset it.

I missed the part where you said the previous carb was a ....

previous carb was a edelbrock 1406....how do you reset it and what do you mount the cable onto on the carb?

I don't know; I don't run holleys; only q-jets.

Resetting it can be done a lot of ways. If you didn't mess with it, try it out as-is. Then, adjust the slider 1 or 2 clicks to the firewall at a time for firmer shifts or to the front of the car for softer shifts. If you've got it running and aren't sure of the shifts, another car guy could probably tell you as well as anything, but you should be able to tell if the shifts are relatively quick, or if they're slow / slipping.
