Iv been searching and searching for this transmission, and i can hardly find any. what are my options that will work in the car, i know they make older ones and such but will one out of say 2nd gen camaro work, or maybe a corvette? way different shift linkage? clutch setup way different? can i use the same driveshaft? i really need help on this since, im almost done with my 400 build up.

Edit: here's a link to an OLD "Super T-10" for sale on e-bay, it looks like the shifter would be perfect, right in the middle on the top of the tranny on the tail end.

Dude, your best friend would be an 82 parts car that had the factory four speed setup in it. The driveshaft in your car is too short for the old four speed. If you could find someone with the above mentioned parts car, it'd have the correct length driveshaft and the mechanical clutch linkage pieces you'd need to do the swap. Good luck finding one on short notice though. They're not very common of a find in the boneyards.
