Well taking the 88 changing it from v6 700r4 to a 94 lt1 carb. and im going to a th350. The tranmission is free but needs rebuildt. I'm having someone who used to work for GM rebuild it for 75.00 but I have to get the stuff to rebuild it. Looking at going with this master rebuild kit

Was told to go with a Transgo shift kit and a 2200-2500 stall. Does this all sound ok? Also anyone know how many bands are in these things? Someone told me I should change the bands with the power im going to put out.. Please help me out with this information.
