t-5 to 700r4
i got the car when i was 15 w/o a motor and tranny and i got a good deal on a 700r4 and a 350 (newly rebuilt for $375). i juss want to kno what else i have to do for the conv. i took it for a rip up the road once and to me it didnt feel right. or it is just me

i put the motor and tranny in, hooked it up, and thats it. i didnt hook up ne wires to the tranny though b/c i dont kno what to hook up. i kno of the speed sensor connector but i dont have the speed sensor. on the top of the tranny there is a 4 prong connector. what is this?

I don't know about the connector thing, but I do know about the other stuff.
I highly suggest you get this: it will allow it to lockup without using a computer.

Also, you are going to have to hook up the TV cable. This is very important. It hooks up to the throttle lever and opens a valve in the tranny to increase pressure. It is vital to the tranny and dictates shift points.
I highly suggest you get this: it will allow it to lockup without using a computer.

Also, you are going to have to hook up the TV cable. This is very important. It hooks up to the throttle lever and opens a valve in the tranny to increase pressure. It is vital to the tranny and dictates shift points.

It says you don't need a speed sensor. I imagine you will need a TV cable also, but am not sure if that kit takes care of it, not sure how it would though.

Transmission: T56, 5-speed, 700R4, C4, T176, semi-auto 2-speed
Axle/Gears: 3.73, 3.90, 4.88, 3.55, 3.54, 7.00
4 prong connector is for the TC lockup. It is done electronically and controlled by the computer. It is easy to rewire it to work off of a relay. There are kits from Painless or do a search and you will find a way to just assemble the parts yourself and do it very inexpensively.
