Well my next to things that will be done are a T56 and a 12 bolt from moser. WIth these in and a 3.73 gear ratio, will my car feel slouchy? It will have the stock LO3 in it till the following winter.

From what I gather from reading posts and tech articles, many members go with 4.10s when they put a 6 spd swap. The double overdrive option still allows low RPM crusing speeds and good gas mileage.

3.73's will be perfect. Many guys with T-56's go with 4.10's if they have a motor that makes power past 6000rpm. For any Lo3 built or not 3.73's or 3.42's will be more than enough. The gear ratios are close to the stock T5 so you will be fine.

T5 gear ratios
2.95
1.94
1.34
1.00
.63

T-56 (for 94 on up, 93 was slightly diff)
2.66
1.78
1.3
1.00
.74
.5

You can see that there isn't much difference in ratios and that you have another gear for the T-56.

well i will be dropping a 350 with decent power ( upwards of 360 ?) next summer. For the sake of not having to change gears again, would 4.10s be to deep?

It all depends on your power band. If your motor will make more power in the upper rpm's than you want a gear to keep it there and you can get away with 4.10's. If all of your power is mae under 5000rpm you would want a 3.42 or 3.73. It all boils down to your total set-up.

Shifty pretty much summed everything up real well. It's all in your setup and has a lot to do with trap speed too.
