Aftermarket transmissions (B&M, TCI etc.)

Does anyone have a 700-R4 remanufactured/rebuilt by B&M or TCI? I was considering a B&M but want to get more info before I commit $1800. Out here local trans shops want 1400 with me taking the trans out so. Buying aftermarket is a good deal cause I get to keep the old one.
Any feed back, stories, or info would be helpful.

I'd check out www.transmissioncenter.net and the probuilt units as well... better units for the money and there's not core...
