adjusting TV cable??

Hey guys, my 700R4 in my 91 Z is starting to have some slippage it seems on the 2-3 shift. The fluid was changed about a 1 1/2 yrs ago...and only has about 6K miles on the fluid. The car itself has 91K on it. It only seems to slip occasionally and usually only on part throttle shifts. Under WOT, it shifts firm in all gears. The tcc works good, it locks up @ appox 38mph in 3rd and holds good, doesnt engage and disengage erractically. My question is, could this be the result of a non adjusted TV cable?? How do I adjust it? I remember reading something about the cable causing lower shift points and slippage....and since I dont think its ever been adjusted, maybe I could try it. Or is it just the 2-3 clutch bands going like Ive heard about with these trannys?? Should I go ahead and have it rebuilt??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Push the button on the side in with a screwdriver and pull the black cable towards the firewall, release the button. Now take and slowly open the throttle to wide open, while doing this you will hear a ratcheting sound. Release throttle lever and that's it. You're done.

the tech article might help some, but its shows a v6 one.

my torque converter seems lock on / off and i can feel it sometimes, plus my 2 to 3 seems high and my cable is adjusted right it takes 3 seconds to do it.

i am hoping a shift kit helps.
