How many shifts do you go through when at the track?

Just wondering. Post your the redline or what RPM you shift at, rear gears, tranny and rpm through the end traps. I am just trying to figure if my gears are optimal with my tranny.
Heres mine:
-6000 RPM redline
-3.42 rear gears
-In the 700R4 I would go through 3 gears and barely get into 3rd and cross the traps pullin' like 4000 rpm.

-With the T-5 swap I go through 3 gears. I am crossing the traps in 3rd at 5800 rpm.

Does anyone have a T-5 and go through all 4 speeds at the track?Would it do it with 3.73's, 4.10's

In my mustang I go through the traps in the 1/4 at about 175mph in 5th gear at 9000 rpm or so. But a buddy of mine has a camaro with a turbo 400 and is in third gear about 5000 rpm in the 1/8 @ 94mph. But he has 4.56 gears and only turns the motor about 6200. With your car with 4.10 gears you would need to pull 4 gear for the 1/4 mile.

Maybe it's cause I peel first too much

according to Desktop drag is should pull all 4 gears and go through the traps at like 4000 in 4th. I did spin a lot at the track and my motor vapor locked a little off the line then kicked back on, so maybe that's why I only redlined 3rd and didn't go into 4th.

I'm shifting 3 times with a T5, and crossing the line at about 4500 in fourth. I have a 3.42 rear gear, and 26-inch tall tires (235/60R15 to be specific). This is yielding 98-ish mph. The LG4 has about 240,000 miles, so I usually shift at about 5200-5300 - according the the factory tach.

I would trap at 109 and w/ 3.42's I would be around 5200 in 4th.
