HELP! t-5 fluid change.

I know im probobly makin myself sound really stupid but im tryin to change my tranny fluid and put some lucas oil treatment. and i can't figure out how to change the fluid. i saw two plugs, 1 on the bottum of the tranny, and the other on the top, so i asssumed that the bottum was the drain and the top was the fiill. but now i have and empty transmission and i don't know how to fill it! i even took the mount out so i could lower the tranny to try and get more clearence for the fluid but now i see thats not even the fill plug i think! PLEASE HELP! i need my car.

you can take off the shifter and pour it in there too, its much easier, just leave off the top nut and wait for fluid to come out and its full.

you have to take the top off the console, the 4 bolts out of the shifter and it will come out, if you have the top plug taken out then just pour the fluid in where the shifter was until you see fluid coming out of the top hole where you took the plug out. its much easier than trying to get the fluid into the top hole (unless you have a lift).

I have a messy idea. Get a funnel, and a peice of tubing probably about 6ft long that fits over the end up the funnel. Stick that into the hole, then you can pour fluid into the funnel, and the tranny will fill without you even being under the car. If you put a pan under the tranny and have 2 people you could do it without making too much of a mess.

**UPDATE**

I thought of the tube idea but i didn't have any tube. GOOD NEWS i took the shifter off and took for f-in ever to get all that lucas oil into the tranny, it worked it's way in sooo slowly. BAD NEWS after putting the shifter back in with the normal amount of frustration that you get when doin somthing your first time, and there is a piece left over and i have NO CLUE WHAT IT IS!.
Now i really need help im afraid to drive the car.

It's a very small nylon looking gear with a black rubberish top and a blue cross ontop of the rubber. WHAT IS THAT? where does it go? is it even part of the shifter? it looks like it's covered in tranny fluid. HELP!
