ok i have a wct5 that wont go in or outta gears. i myself put my new clutch in and it doesnt work.. first i replaced my slave master and lines. there is no air and my clutch system and the pedal has normal pressure. the clutch fork is moving about and inch and still doesnt disengage the clutch.. when i push the pedal the pedal only goes half way down then stops. when i look under the car with the pedal half way down and stopped the slave is all the way out. so i did an expirement to see if i could get the pedal to go all the way down. {this is ghetto so go easy on me} i took out the slave actuator rod out and put a long bolt in place of it when i did this the pedal whent all the way down with perfect pressure but it still wont go into gear. what did i install wrong???? this is the first clutch i have ever done so its likely i messed it up somehow. thanks guys

Sounds like the clutch disc is in backwards.

It should be marked "flywheel side" or words to that effect. It definitely makes a difference.

it could be that you put the SHIFTER in wrong. I did it with my 4 speed S-10 when i changed the clutch. It has to go in the way it came out EXACTLY!!!!! I mean exactly. i had to redo it 2-3 times before i looked and saw the shifter was in wrong. Mine wouldnt go into gears at all either. It is easier than pulling the tranny out again so check it FIRST!! Hope it helps

Good thing to check, as far as it goes; but the shifter won't affect how far down the clutch pedal can be pushed. I don't think that's the problem with this install.

hey guys another problim fixed thanx to thirdgen.org except the only thing is when i shift i have to force it into gear its hard to get it in??? also when its in gear(not running) and the clutch is pressed to the floor its hard to push like the clutch isnt all the released?vrs when its in nuetral it rolls ez.i know the clutch is all the way bleed and theres no air in it. is this common with brand new performance clutches?

When you replaced the pilot bearing / bushing, which kind did you put back in?

nah i dont think its a hardware prob beacause the throw out and the pilot both came with the clutch set. the pilot i just tapped into the crank and the throw out just came with it and i put it on like it says?? also when i push the clutch in at the very bottom just before the pedal hits the floor i hear a very faint noise of somekind. i dont know what that is either??? anyone ??
