Ford 9 inch drive shaft ??

I bought a pickup with a Ford 9 inch so I am pulling the 9 inch from the truck and selling off the rest. my question is about the drive shaft.anyone know of the length of the driveshaft needed for a 9 inch swap??wondering if the 2 spare driveshafts(both diff lengths) I have will work or if I should keep the one from the truck maybe. also one other question is the U-Joint. will a GM U-Joint on the stock 3rd gen drive shaft be able to mount on the 9 Inch pinion or will I need to get a Ford u-joint for the end of my drive shaft???? I know I have alot more work to do to this rear end to get it to work on my car but these were a couple of questions that I didn't have the answers to.

you can get a DS made with whatever ends you want, and you'll have your pick or ford or gm ends to use. the ford end would be easiest and then use ford u joint. i can't even begin to wonder why you're spending time worring about such a minor detail when there are so many bigger things to work out.
