TH400 torque converter
me and a pal are building a th400 for my car the only questionmark, is the converter.
looking for a 3800 stall non lockup deal. possibly with an anti ballooning plate. it will be used in front of a trans brake.
I'm thinking bout getting another ACT unit.. the one i had for my 700R worked great... wondering if the 400 unit would be as good.
really entertaining suggestions, bout stuff people had good luck with

I have a 10" Coan with an anti-balloon plate that I'm very happy with (TH400, no brake). I faxed them a copy of my dyno sheet along with all the specs to my car and they built me a converter that was perfect for my combo. It stalls around 3,000 rpm with my engine, in a 3500# mid 9 second car. Lots of other real decent converter builders out there though.
