i know a few people that are running 4.11 in their daily drivers and i was just curious as to what everyone thought about them. i probably won't go any lower than 3.73 though.
I am going to go to 4.10's. I don't think I would with an auto though. I think the calculator on this site figured 109 mph @ 6200 rpm. Perfect for the quarter mile but probably too steep for a daily driver.

4.11 + 700R4 = ridiculously crazy first gear, horrible gas mileage, no top end...
3.73s are the interim b/w 3.42 and 4.11 and they are actually a way better choice for a TPI 350 Automatic 4.

i gears i think are too low for a daily driver. I like them but i put them in because im thinking about the future when i get a new engine with more hp. I have great 60 ft times at 2.077 but only a 15.25 at 87 . But i didnt put them in for now i did it for later.
White91GTA the rear end is very strong. It is actually stonger than a stock ford 9 inch . I read it in a hot rod mag. But the 9 inch has more potential .I found the rear end at a junk yard and got it for 125 cash. The rear end you need if you plan to fab it up is a 70-74 ebody rear end , or like the one i have out of a 69 dodge van 3/4 ton. It has to be one of those so you dont have to shorten it. Its narrow by like 3/16 of an inch so it isnt noticible at all. Their is goin to be a lot of fab to make it fit and be a bolt in deal like mine. You have to have a spare 3rg gen rear to cut all the perches off . and then you have to make a torque arm mount . Its a pain , but me and my grandfather had a good time making it. Just to tell you how stong it is it has taken my dads 77 ta with a 463 poncho to 12.39 @ 110 on slicks. his car weights 3750 w/o driver.
