what is this hose for

I had pulled a T5 out of my 1990 IROC g92 and noticed a hose on the top of it. it was about the size of a vacuum hose and ended in a small white plastic piece i wanted to know where it went to
Is it just a hose to relieve any pressure inside the tranny or dose it attach to something else.

pictures liked but any info is welcome and appreciated

I don't have a t5, but from the description, i'd bet its just a vent/breather hose.

It is just an air vent to keep the pressure from getting to high in there. All trannys have a form of this.
