Trouble code 24 after auto -> T5 swap
My car is a 87 camaro v6 and for some reason Im getting code 24 from my car now that I completed my 700R4 ->T5 swap. Does anyone know what this code means? I looked it up and its the VSS sensor but I dont have a VSS on my car.
Do I need a computer from a manual tranny car?
or how would I fix this?
Also, for some reason the engine usually stays at like 2k or 1500 rpm for a bit and then creeps down slowly when i put the clutch in. On every car I ever drove that was a stick the rpm dropped down the instant you put the clutch in and let off the gas.
Any ideas how to fix this?

The RPM thing is prolly your computer thinking there is an auto still behind the motor.
The 8-ies cars do have speed buffers in the intrument cluster attached to the speedo for the cruise and ECM reference. I drove around my 89 with a cable speedo and it not hooked up and it gave me a 24 code too, also my car kind of ran crappy, I think it might have gone into "limp home mode". That may be why your rpm's are doing this as well.
