my tranny hits second gear way to hard, it chirps second all the time, revs even higher when im light on the gas, whats going on? driving in the rain...well lets just say im used to sliding around, any ideas?

 

LOL, I have the same prob since the 700 in my daily driver 89 RS came out of my Beast and it has a vette servo and shift kit in. It literally peels every time it goes into 2nd. As a matter of fact, I got pulled over last night for "peeling tires" and I told the officer that the tranny has been rebuilt and it has a shift kit in it and it does that cause it shifts so hard, he said oh ok you need to get that fixed and let me go.

 

GM had a bulletin SIL 86-13 (Jul) for correcting harsh 1-2 shifts on 1982-1985 transmissions.
